The tale of two Kings, but the unofficial, which it wound up becoming more of the official was how not to be a simple, and we'll explain that in just a minute. So let's jump right into our live man cave edition. Hey guys. So we have an exciting night tonight. How many people know that the topic is tonight? You might know what the topic is, the theme tonight? How not to be a son.

4:30 Right. We just changed it to that. We just changed it to that five minutes ago, right? So the, uh, the original, what was supposed to have been the topic was the tale of two kings. The funny story behind it though is, um, uh, we was joking in our meeting and I said, yeah, what the poll is, how not to be a son. So I left that in the meeting and then I went on my vacation and I said, Oh, by the way, go ahead and make the postcard, but I forgot to give them the real name. And so they showed me the picture of the postcard. Oh, okay. Well it is what it is. But anyway, so it's a tale of two Kings called not to be yourself. And so we'll explain that in a little bit tonight.

5:12 Um, but really the, the, the, the, the, um, just the gist of this is this, uh, We were talking a couple of months ago, and so tonight's going to be for married men, single men, divorced men, and happy men. And happy men, happy men, and men who want to get back into, uh, you know, married or whatever, right? Um, cause we were having a conversation, I don't know where Kaz was, but it was all of us and Kaz we were talking about how there's a lot of ladies out there who are like, I want to get married. But for example, I make a ton of money, right?

5:52 And you know, you make it, I know this situation, I know a guy, I've mentored a guy who's like around 50, 000, 40, 000, 50, 000. But his wife makes like 200, 000 plus, right? And so that's like, eh, that's a little tough. But one of the things I'll never forget, that she said to me, it was a young couple, she came to me and she said, You know, um, what I really loved about him. I mean, I know, I know my profession and all that, but what I really respected about him was it's hard for the Lord. Amen. Amen. So if you're trying to chase money, you don't have to do that. That's right. Um, and so tonight we want to show single men how to be regardless of the situation. How you should be the king of that relationship.

6:34 Not, not, not, not the, the, the, um, the machismo. That's not what we're going to be talking about today. We'll explain that in a little bit. But also how married men or divorcee men or men who want to get back into the dating game and find a wife. How do you not be at the setup? And we're going to show you, and we're going to compare two kings. I'll give you, I'll give you a hint right now. So obviously the man can, we talk a lot about David, that's one king. And then we're, which was the greatest king other than Jesus. The worst king, and I'm going to point you in scripture and show you, he's the worst king. God calls him the worst king ever. Is the king Ahab. We're going to compare these two kings and these two kings will show you how you even need to live or how you need to not live and it will transform your home, transform your life.

7:23 Especially if you're single. Especially if you're married, including myself. Amen? Amen. So tonight's going to be really, really exciting, but it's also going to be a little rough. Because as we go through the Word, not me, but as the Word, you'll be wrestling with some things. You'll say, I thought I was doing this right, and I hate the fact that what he's talking about right now in the Scripture. The Scripture is supposed to do that, so it's okay. The Scripture is supposed to do that. So we all wrestle with that kind of stuff, right? Amen. But when you're wrestling, realize you're wrestling because it's a, it's a, um, it's the Holy Spirit working on your heart. That's all. Trying to make you better. And as you wrestle with it.

Okay, the other one, the other one is someone who is obsessed with the interest of women.

8:51 A simp is a man who disrespects himself for women. So two men can do the same exact things. And for one man, it is simping. And for the next man, it is not. So, to avoid this, we must think, before we spend our time, attention, or resources on any woman, have they done anything to deserve it besides being hot? If they haven't, And say they're not treating us well to continue to try to pursue would absolutely be disrespecting ourselves So remember that the next time you think about spending your time attention or resources on a woman So she's hot you just go crazy over it just do whatever right I can't, I'm married.

9:34 Amen, amen. Let's jump right in, um, and weird enough I left my Bible, so I don't need an electronic Bible. And all of you guys who have Bibles, obviously I'd like you guys to do some reading for me. But let's look at the first King. I want to show you guys these two Kings. Let's go ahead and jump right in. So let's start with the first King. Let's go to the first King, chapter 21. First Kings chapter 21. And let me know what Bible you're using or translation you're using when you decide to read it. Who's going to be one of my readers? Where do you use it? New Kings chapter.

10:15 New Kings? Alright. Um, so we're going to start in verse 1. Let's, uh, let's jump right in. Chapter 21, 1? Yep. Yep. Alright, starting out 1. And it came to pass after these statements that Naples, the Jairus Light, had a vineyard which was in Jesuit, Jesuit, okay, you don't know how to read, you don't know how to read very well, just some words, next to the palace of Abraham King of Samaria. Neighbor said to Ahab, the Lord forbid that I should give the inheritance of my fathers to you. So Ahab went into his house, so, and just leaves because of the word.

11:37 Which neighbor? That just, how do you pronounce that light had spoken to him. For he had said, I will not give you the inheritance of my father's and he laid down on his back and turned away his face and would eat no food. Okay, stop. I'm going to have you read that one again, but I want you to pause. Now, who would touch fire? It's the hand. The hand. The hand is what? It's a change. It's a change, right? I want you to read. Because this guy lived south of the property, I want you to look at this man's response. Read the second half of that verse slowly. Read it. The, uh, number five, same verse. He just finished number four.

Which neighbor that Israel had spoken to him now for? He had said, I will not give you. The inheritance of my father, and he laid down on his back and turned away his face and would eat no food. Did you catch that? Did you catch that? Did you catch that? Basically, he went to his friend and he grabbed him and he slapped him.

So, the one thing you want to understand about when you read scripture Anytime it gives you a lot of detail in certain things, that's important. Is that what I'm saying? Because normally it could have just said he went to his room. But when it gave you all of that, it's pointing at something so that you can see that. Right, right. What does that look like, guy? Like a chow. Like a temper tantrum. Like a temper tantrum. Exactly what I was saying. But if you don't like the food, that's good as well. I mean, I'm not going to get there yet.

To be quite honest with you, it sounded a little, um, I don't know. Now, the whole disposition that you put off sounds a little bit effeminate to me.

16:46 Right after this, how many are ready for the man cave? Yeah, the man cave is developed around, we call it the five pillars. There's praise and worship. Or we sing a song or two and really just, uh, invite the presence of God in and get the guys singing and clapping and whatever, and really make a push on getting guys into the music. It's typically guys like to avoid praise or lifting of hands or singing and that type of stuff. So we really put a focus on that. And then we go right into the music. From that into prayer, you know, intercession prayer. We ask guys if there's certain things that they want us to pray for, to agree with them in prayer for, uh, and we make sure to focus it on them.

17:32 Sometimes guys will say, Hey, listen, I got this neighbor. Can you pray for them? And we're like, no, no, no. We want to know what is it that you need prayer for? Because, because you're the neighbor, that's your job to pray for your neighbor. From there, we actually go into the competition part. Now that's the exciting part of the man cave. It just creates that competitive piece, makes it exciting. Let it go. It gets that testosterone, uh, bubbling up and everything else. And there's a reason to that really too. I've been doing men's ministry now for almost 30 years. A lot of times men don't really have those men focused things at churches. So in some cases, the guys that can feel a little, um, Feminine or emasculated in some cases. And because of that, we want to make sure that there's a masculine feel to men's fellowship.

18:16 It's both fun. It's inviting. It's also used as a fish bait to get guys out. Yeah. The other reason that we do competition is so we can create two teams. And in creating two teams, we create a camaraderie between those guys. They stay on those teams for the duration. You don't go from second Friday to second Friday. No, you're contacting guys in between guys, able to reach out. Guys are able to, Hey man, I'm really dealing with this thing. We're struggling with this thing so they can reach out to somebody. We go from the competition park and then we go into the work. We go into scripture. We, uh, do some teaching and then we make. Breakout into breakout groups. The breakout groups allows guys to be able to, um, answer some things or share their thoughts on those same tough topics that was just preached a few minutes ago.

19:03 The word is, is a two edged sword. It cuts open things. It exposes us to ourselves, at least. to what's really happening on the inside or the things we've been trying to cover up and hide. And then we break from there and then we eat. That's a great time to be able to dive in and just really see how guys are doing. Pastors and churches don't have a men's ministry. You're missing out on the opportunity to free that man from that thing he's been trapped in, that stronghold that's been in his life. Men's ministry allows him to be free, vulnerable, and then. And free.

20:16 So she did. She wrote the letters in his name, signed Ahab. Then she use his official sign and sent it off. So the elders who got the letters assumed they was giving these letters from who? The king from Key came. Right? I mean, that sounds illegal calling jail. I guess you could say it was illegal, right? Yeah, yeah. Forgery do that nowadays. How. Oh, how many haven't heard of Jessica with the name? Oh, she's a check. I can just bow. Well, that's it. I said, who's got a red dress? She's got a red lipstick.

So I'm going to give you, you're going to hear a lot of definitions about what a Jezebel spirit is. I'm going to tell you, make it real plain right now. That verse was the definition. Now let me, let me say something a lot that you don't say, a Jezebel spirit is not just in women.

21:38 It's also invented. It's any spirit that uses somebody else's authority to get advantages in life. That's uncounted. Uses other people, so they can get close to you, to use your name. So, especially, let's say in the church world, I used to hear this a lot, where somebody would come in, Hey, hey, you guys have to do such and such and such, or don't do that, or do this or do that. Why? Well, because Christ has said so. And then you ask for another setback. So you're using somebody else's authority as if it's yours, but he never gave you that authority.

22:20 So you might think it's nothing, or it's lying, but that's the Jezebel spirit. And it's not always in women. It is very feminine to some degree. A bracelet. She manipulated. Oh, very good. And that's the, that's the spirit. That's the spirit. But what you're going to learn today is this, this message is not about Jessica. I think I see her. My wife, my girlfriend, my ex, my ex is definitely a Jessica. But tonight's lesson is not about Jessica.

23:04 Who is it? Wait for the teacher. Now, let's look at the other king. I want you to hold that in your head. That's the first king. Now, let's go look at the second king. Alright? Now, we're going to go over to, uh, uh, Centurion. I'm going to give you another read. Okay, hold on one second. Everybody got it? Yep. We're going to go to 2 Samuel chapter 6, and we're going to start in verse 13. 2 Samuel chapter 6, and we're going to start in verse 13. Alright, uh, Mark, when you get ready, we lock the door.

So, this is where the Ark of the Covenant was taken from Israel, and 70 years, it was gone, and they finally was able to bring it back. Now, the Ark of the Covenant represents what?

But remember, he's a king, so they were three, sorry, they were royal governments and whatnot, right? Now here, it doesn't tell you that, but when you read later, you see that he came out of something else. The other something else was his kingly robe. That part's important. And I'll explain it in a little bit.

Do you guys remember when we talked about this before, what the linen ephod was and what it represented? Anybody remember that? I don't know. So he was wearing the Priestly Garment because he was actually wearing the same garments that the, that the priest was wearing at the time. That's the original descent, right? So as he's rejoicing, he comes out of his Royal Garment and he's only wearing his Priestly Garment. That's all he's wearing. So David.

25:53 Yeah, so David and all the houses of Israel brought to the Ark of the Lord, shouting and the sound of the trumpet. Now as the Ark of Lord came into the city of David Al. First of all, it wasn't, from a whirling perspective, customary for kings to dance. Let's get that part straight first. It just wasn't. Like, you're a king, you don't dance. Right? So they brought the Ark of the Lord and sat it in its place in the midst of the tabernacle that David had erected for it, that David offered burnt offerings and peace offerings before the Lord.
